Safe in Class 2022/2023

RULES & REGULATIONS

2020/21/22/23 Risk Assessment

Premises – All Saints Weston. Chestnut Avenue, Weston Green, Esher KT10 8JL

REVISED FOR  September 22

Over this last school year have gradually introduced children back to a more normal class structure and will continue to do so unless advised otherwise.

We still ask that no one attends classes if feeling unwell.  Thank you.

January 2022 - Parents are invited to wait back inside the All Saints Church Hall.

One adult per family please, keeping the amount of people on the premises to a minimum.

Parents and children waiting in the hall, please wait in the areas allocated - We thank you for not waiting in the actual hallway as we like to keep this clear.

SAFE ARRIVAL & EXIT  Children under the age of 16yrs should not be left unattended, we cannot be responsible for any children outside of the classroom. Parents are asked to be there should we need them at any time.

Parents are asked to inform a teacher or another class parent waiting if an older school child is to be left  alone.

Please make sure your child has a contact number to reach you - we suggest keeping it clearly written somewhere in/on their dance bag.

Parents are responsible for their children before and after class. We ask that main doors to the venue are kept closed.

Parents asked to always accompany their child into the hall, just in case it is closed and classes cancelled for any reason    Please see below *

When we provide refreshments, please check any drinks or biscuits are safe for your child.

You are always welcome to bring your own and parents may use kitchen facilities for tea and coffee whilst waiting.

UNIFORM

Comfortable dance wear is worn to all classes.

SHOES

Appropriate shoes to be worn in class.

We prefer that the children do not dance bare foot- there could always be 'little bits' on the floor, accidently dropped or brought in on people's shoes whilst coming and going.

Please take extra care as ballet and tap shoes can be slippery.  New children without dance shoes may wear a comfortable non slip shoe. Children without tap shoes may wear a hard sole shoe.

The premises is always prepared/cleaned before classes start with spaces cleared and floors checked.

HAIR

When training, a dancer always wears their hair off the face in a bun or similar style. Preferably with no fringe.

DanceCraft Dancers wear team/class colour hair bow bows, bands or scrunchies - they look gorgeous!

Fees are payable termly in advance. Thank you.

*Class changes or cancellations.

If in the unlikely event, we are unable to take classes we will inform you via WhatsApp/text message/email or a notice will be put up at the hall.

Any classes cancelled that cannot be covered, will either be re-arranged, carried over to the next term, an alternative class offered either in person, online or refunded in full.

Classes cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control are not refunded, for example, severe weather conditions, gales, snow & ice - Government Lockdown, e.g. rules due to Covid-19.

*Occasionally classes may need to be restructured. This will be carried out with prior notice and the minimum of disruption.
